5 Days – Chimpanzees and Safari Uganda

Kibale Forest has the largest number of Chimpanzees and other Primates in the region. With over ten years of tracking and Chimp Habituation record, Kibale offers you an opportunity that is found nowhere else in Africa. Combining the trip with a glimpse of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park, makes it a trip worthy and will give you an added Value for Money.
Day 1: Entebbe Airport / Kampala to Kibale Forest Park
If today is your arrival day, then flight must be landing before 11:00am, for ample time to transfer to Kibale National park which is about 6 hours drive. Or if you are already in Uganda, then safari can start from either Kampala or Entebbe at about 09:00am. With lunch enroute, you will arrive later in the evening for overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale (FB).
Day 2: Full day in Kibale Forest National Park
On this day you will enter the forest searching for Chimpanzees and other primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey and other primates, the guide will provide detailed explanations not only on primates but also the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primate at close quarters. If you return early from the forest then you have a free afternoon and we can either take you for a community walk, allowing you to experience a little bit of culture, visit crater lakes and if time allows go for a swamp walk. Overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale (FB).
Day 3: From Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Proceed to queen Elizabeth National park following the mystical Rwenzori Mt. Range, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, check in and afternoon you may opt to relax or to take an afternoon game drive and birding around safari. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.(FB).
Day 4: Full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning game drive after early warm up tea or coffee at 6:00am, and you will return for a full breakfast after your main morning game drive. With lunch coming in the afternoon will be crowned with a boat ride to Kazinga Channel, this is a highlight of this trip offering incredible chances to clients. You will see lots of hippos, and occasional Nile Crocodiles then return to to your lodge and time allowing have another evening game drive before you retire for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Entebbe.
Leave Queen Elizabeth to Kampala or Entebbe depending on where your accommodation is, otherwise transfer to the airport to catch your evening flight your flight back home. For any of those not rushing back to catch their evening flights back home, this park still has another opportunity for you and the morning can be dedicated to either the forest walk in Maramagambo forest or even another chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge (at extra fees) before you head to Kampala.
